It was a day worth celebrating, even COVID-style for Helen and Robbie Robinson on April 1 - and it certainly wasn’t a joke.
April Fools’ Day marked the couple’s 60th wedding anniversary, and they celebrated in a socially-distanced style from their home on Astra Road in Comox. Neighbours dropped by their driveway to offer best wishes and congratulations.
The turquoise 1957 Chevy pictured in the photo as part of their lawn display was made for them as a surprise - a portrayal of the car they took on their honeymoon from Alberta, west to Victoria and south to Long Beach, CA in 1961.
