Robbery at Buckley Bay ferry terminal

On Aug. 27, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the Comox Valley RCMP responded to a call regarding a robbery at the Buckley Bay ferry terminal in Fanny Bay.

On Aug. 27, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the Comox Valley RCMP responded to a call regarding a robbery at the Buckley Bay ferry terminal in Fanny Bay.

It was reported that a man attended the ticket booth, dressed in black with his face covered, brandished a weapon and demanded money.

“The employee did exactly what they are supposed to and was not injured in this incident,” stated Staff Sgt. Kevin Mazur, Comox Valley RCMP plain clothes commander.

The investigation is continuing with the assistance of BC Ferries, the Comox Valley General Investigation Section and the Integrated Forensic Identification Service.
