On Aug. 27 at approximately 7:30 p.m., the Comox Valley RCMP received a call from a taxi driver reporting his taxi had just been stolen from Puntledge Park in Courtenay.
Comox Valley RCMP were able to quickly locate and recover the taxi at 14th Street and Urquhart Avenue in Courtenay.
A witness described the suspect as a young Caucasian man with dark hair and a beard. The suspect was wearing black pants and a black hoodie with a white logo. This investigation is continuing.
