BRIAN KIDD
1938-2002
Family and friends mourn the recent passing of Brian Kidd, in Tahsis. Brian was born in Brighton, England in 1938 and grew up in Preston. From his earliest years he had a passion for sports, which he carried into his later studies and career. Brian moved to Steveston, BC in 1964 where he began his study of martial arts, going on to Japan to pursue his training in Kendo and Karate.
He then began a career as Recreation Director of the Village of Tahsis, where he and his wife Helen, settled and began their family. For Brian, his focus was his family. His sons Steve and Matt where his pride and joy. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family here and in England and by the many people he touched with his kindness and compassion throughout his life.
Services for Brian will be held at Comox United Church in Comox, on Wednesday, June 12, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. and at St. Joseph’s Church in Tahsis on Sunday, June 16th, 2002 at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
