May 27, 1961 - April 10, 2024

In Loving Memory ~

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Brian Toner after a brief and courageous battle with cancer on April 10, 2024.

He leaves behind; his children, Tristan and Mason, parents Shirley and Daniel Toner, brothers Stephen and Chris and his favorite sister, Cheryl Hayes, and many nephews and nieces. He also leaves behind his love Leslie.

Predeceased by his brother Paul and sister- in-law Cindy Toner.

Brian was a go getter all his life. He was born May 27, 1961. He was an entrepreneur even at a young age picking bottles and yard work to earn money. Later he went to the oil fields in Alberta, then as a hard rock miner in both Thompson MB and Westmin Mines north of Campbell River.

30 years ago Brian saw an opportunity in the world of real estate and made a successful career, as the entrepreneur he always was. His success was aided by his close friend Rhonda Third. During that time, Brian became involved with the Kinsmen Club of Campbell River and helped raise money for the community he loved so much.

Brian has touched many lives over the years. His joy was his children and the water. Brian loved his lake house where many have visited and enjoyed the summer. He enjoyed fishing on the lake and in the ocean with family and friends.

His other joy was riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed the Island roads with his nephews, his brother and friends. His ride to Sturgis with Sue was one of the memories he cherished. He loved to play pool and was a regular at the local Legion and Eagles Club.

We would like to thank those that helped during this difficult time. Our Special Care team; his daughter Tristan, son Mason, Klayton, Leslie, Sue and Cheryl. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of Campbell River hospital. Also Rhonda for keeping the fires going.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the SPCA or the Kinsmen Club would be Brian's wishes.

Brian has left a big hole in his family and in the community of Campbell River. He will be missed greatly and we know, he is either fishing, riding or playing pool up there.

So "Get 'er done" and "Check Check"!

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Eagles Hall at 3:00 PM on May 27, 2024.
