VIKLUND, Christopher Donald
October 14, 1955 - September 8, 2010
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher Donald Vilklund. He passed away quietly on September 8, 2010 with his family and friends at his side after a courageous battle with cancer.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Donna and his son's Trevor and Garrett. His parents Dennis and Evelyn, sisters Cindy (Gary), Kelley (Vince), Sharon (Rob). His extended family, Stan and Wilvery Moore, numerous brothers and sisters in law. As well as his many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Chris dearly.
Chris was born in Germany on October 14, 1955. He spent his childhood years growing up in Greenwood, NS and Rivers, MT. before setting with his family in the Comox Valley at the age of 13 where he lived out his remaining years.
Chris worked in construction as a painting contractor for many years, but will be remembered for his love for life, family and friends. Chris was an avid curler and an active member of the Comox Valley Curling Club for many years. He also enjoyed numerous activities such as skiing, hiking, golfing, camping, and fishing with his buddies.
Chris we hold you close within our heats and
there you will remain to walk with us through out
lives until we meet again.

A celebration of Chris's life will take place at the Comox Valley Curling Club, Sunday September 19th at 1:30 to 3:30.
