Emma Lange, 99, of Courtenay, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by her family on February 20, 2005. Born in the Ukraine, she immigrated to Canada on April 19, 1951.
Emma was predeceased by her husband August; father Andreas; mother Emmelia; brothers; Edward and Emil. She is survived by her sons: Leonhard (Karen); Erich (Teresa); daughters: Linda Wolfram (Erhardt); Irma Richter; Inge Scott (Larry); 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; nieces: Irma, Erika, and Ida; extended families and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 26 at 10:00 at Faith Lutheran Church at 17th Street and McPhee Ave, Courtenay, with Pastor Timothy Rumsch officiating. Burial will follow in the Courtenay Civic Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
