Our beloved Frances Jeanne has passed away in peaceful slumber on Monday, September 15, 2008. Born December 29, 1919 in Vancouver, BC she lived all her life on the West Coast. In 1952, as newlyweds she and her husband Leonard made the Comox Valley their lifelong home.
Fran had an adventurous spirit and loved the outdoors. Her wit, charm and humour endeared her to many and her support, unfailing love and encouragement of others made her the best of friends and a wonderful wife and mother.
Fran, and her gaiety of spirit, will be missed by her loving family: husband Leonard, daughter Annette and son-in-law Jim Boulter, niece Yvonne (Donald) Lockwood, nephew Robert (Nada) Mitchell, granddaughters Erika (David) Rolston, Tracy (Jeremy) Snow, great-grandchildren Shaena, Joshua, Tyler and Charlotte. Also, gone on ahead of Fran is her beloved sister, Albertine Mitchell.
The family is eternally grateful for the compassionate care Fran received while at Oceanview Lodge ECU. A Memorial/Celebration Service will be held at St. Joseph's Hospital Chapel, 3rd floor (older section), Comox Avenue @ 1:00pm September 20, 2008 with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oceanview ECU in Fran's memory.
