James Hyland Broadhead

September 8, 1922 – January 5, 2007


Jim passed away at St. Joseph’s General Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife Brenda and is survived by his sons: Thomas Broadhead (Connie) and James Broadhead (Kay); daughter Valerie Morrison (Derek); 6 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; sister Joyce Welsh; and many nieces and nephews. Jim served with the R.C.A.F. as a radio operator; then served 2 years as a Delta Councilman. Jim was the executive accountant for Automatic Electric till moving to ranch at Black Creek on Vancouver Island. He enjoyed building or renovating all our family homes, stamp collecting, and he was a master gardener, played the harmonica and enjoyed divining. A Service of Remembrance in Celebration of his Life will be held at the COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM, 1101 RYAN ROAD, COURTENAY on Friday, January 19, 2007 at 1 p.m. For those wishing donations in Jim’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation Comox Valley, P.O.
