JOHNSON (nee: Anderson)

Jean Dorothy

November 27, 1918 - January 28, 2007

Born on Nov. 27, 1918 in Naicam, Saskatchewan and passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Comox on January 28, 2007.

She was predeceased by her husband, Einar and son, Arne. She is survived by her sons: Jim (Margaret), Dennis (Susan) and her daughter, Eileen (Allan). Jean is survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Jean was the youngest in a family of eight and is survived by her brother, Arni (Bertha) and two sisters, Eileen (Ab) Judd and Anna Govenlock.

Jean spent most of her life in Prince Rupert where she worked at Fishermen’s Co-op for 25 years. After retirement she moved to the Comox Valley. She enjoyed bridge games at the Filberg Centre and after moving to Casa Loma Retirement Living, she could often be found at the Shuffleboard table. She loved the competition!

We would like to thank all the friends and staff at Casa Loma, Dr. Reggler and Home Nursing Services for their kindness and care. No service will be held by request. A donation in Jean’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
