Joan Isobel Carter (Webber), 86, passed away on February 5th, 2024, at Comox Valley Hospital.
Joan was born on March 28th, 1937, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of many with her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love. She was a devoted mother/grandmother/sister/friend who always put others before herself.
Joan leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Her kindness and outgoing personality impacted everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered with a smile for that cute little hat that we all loved.
Joan was predeceased by her parents Edward and Emily Cherry, Her first husband John Webber, Her eldest daughter Shirley (Robin), brother Ernest, and sisters Florence and Phyllis.
She is survived by her husband John Carter, daughters Carleen and Wendy (Monty), her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sisters Ila and Barbara, her friends, and her extended family will forever hold her in their hearts.
A celebration of Joan's life will be held on April 13th, 2024, at the Comox Legion at 1:30 pm. Friends and family are invited to attend and share their memories. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Joan's honour.
