Masini - John Edward, aged 82 of Comox, died suddenly at home, surrounded by his family on Monday, July 26th, 2004. Predeceased by his son Peter and daughter-in-law Marcia, John is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife of 57 years, Barb (nee Alford); son Phil (Denise) of Comox, daughter Barb (Bob) of Peachland and son David (Aki) of Victoria; grandchildren: Pete, Celeste, Brian, Mike, Dan, David, and Ashleigh, as well as his sister Betty, of London, England. John served with the RAF during World War Two, then with the RCAF. Flying for some 40 years, he was decorated with the Distinguished Flying Medal. Well known for his love of the outdoors and his fondness of animals, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, July 30th at 2:00 pm from Comox Pentecostal Church, 1919 Guthrie Road.
