In loving memory ~
Laura was born in Sunnyside Cannery, BC and a proud member of the Gitga'at First Nation. She was a caring, generous and loving person. She was devoted to her husband Charles and her children, Carla, Wade and Rob(son in law). She cared deeply about her home and territory and was always in honour of her parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces/nephews, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws. She treated all people she came across, whether friends or strangers, with the utmost kindness and within a heartbeat would tell you a joke to share a laugh.
Laura loved fishing with her husband, Charles for the last 50+ years of her life. Being on the boat together and enjoying each day's sunset with Charlie was pure peace for her.
Laura lived her life with a full heart and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
She asks that we remember to laugh at least once a day, never take each other for granted, speak your truth and be kind, it's hard out there.
