APPLEBY, Margaret Rebecca

Madge Appleby passed away in Comox, British Columbia on September 1st, 2005. She was predeceased by her husband Edward on Dec.30, 2002. Madge is survived and will be sadly missed by her sister Norma Oven, her niece Nicole Dianne Piercy, her nephew Dr. Gregory Mark Piercy as well as many other relatives and friends. Her parents were Rosalie and Harry Sheppard and her grandparents were Margaret and Charles Williams (original settlers and pioneers after whom Williams Beach was named). Madge was a private secretary to the manager of the Vancouver Board of Trade for 23 years and prior to that worked for Canadian Westinghouse in Ontario. Later in her life she became a fine photographer, taking pictures of Comox Valley and making them into cards which were very popular. Madge will be greatly missed by her family and the many friends she made over the years. Arrangements entrusted to COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM, 1101 RYAN ROAD, COURTENAY. Donations in Madge’s memory made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC and Yukon, P.O. Box 1225, Comox, B.C. V9N 7Z8 would be appreciated. It was Madge’s request that there be no service.
