Orlin “Len” Maine Martin of Courtenay, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Tuesday, May 16th, 2017, aged 98. He is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife Anna; his sons and daughters and many close friends. Len served with the Canadian Army during World War Two and following his discharge, he worked with the Department of National Defense for over 35 years. He was known for his expertise at jewelry making, wood carving and his creativity with many artistic endeavours. A Funeral Liturgy will take place from Christ the King Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM, followed by Committal of his urn at Courtenay Civic Cemetery. For those wishing, donations in Len’s memory to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
