In Loving Memory ~

The Stapley family would like to announce the passing of our father, brother, and son, Dick Stapley.

Dick was born and raised in Campbell River and was known for his unrelenting work ethic and drive for success. He was a natural at anything. As a young boy he was a gymnast and a race winning downhill skier on Forbidden Plateau.

He and his brother, Doug, water skied with passion and at one early Salmon Festival event, water skied out and back from the Foreshore Park around Mitlenatch Island.

As a carpenter he was responsible for the construction of many homes and buildings in and around Vancouver Island, and could make any piece of furniture imaginable by hand.

As a faller his reputation was unparalleled for his production and abilities. Dick loved fishing and hiking and just generally being out in nature.

Predeceased by his father, Frank, and brother, Doug.

Dick is survived by his three sons, Steele (Darla), Trace (Jenna), and Reid (Jessica), his mother Phyllis Stapley, Denise Stapley, his siblings Cheryl (Bill), Fran(Murray), Paul (Leslie) and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
