Gray, Rosemary Patricia
1922- 2006
Born in Michel, BC (Crowsnest Pass), passed away peacefully with her family around her at Glacier View Lodge on August 29, 2006.
Predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Thomas Gray in 1987 and her brother Andrew Waddington in 1934. Survived by son, Dan (Jackie) of Courtenay; daughters, Karen (Roy), Mona, and Amy all of Courtenay, and Chayla (Rick) of Delta; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Also survived by her sister Joan and family of Nanaimo, BC.
Rosemary moved to the Comox Valley in 1935 with her parents, Daniel and Rosina Waddington. She worked at a number of stores in the Valley during her working career and spent many years as cashier at the Super Valu Store in Courtenay. Rosemary belonged to the Florence Chapter #53, Order of the Eastern Star for 50 plus years. She really enjoyed belonging to the monthly “Supper Club” for over 45 years, made up of her life-long women friends.
