MARSHALL - BRUCE, Sherry

ne:  Sharron Dale Bruce                                                           1957-2010

It is with profound sadness that we must say goodbye to Sherry.  With her loving family and friend Vicki at her bedside, Sherry passed away peacefully, where she had lived so happily - in her own home - as a result of metastatic breast cancer.

A well known figure in Courtenay, Sherry leaves their businesses, Hot Chocolates, CakeBread and Uranus as a lasting legacy to the community.

Sherry was a rare combination of savvy business woman, creative genius, gracious hostess, loyal, fun loving sister and friend, caring daughter, loving mentor to her children and soulmate to her husband.

Predeceased by her beloved grandparents, Laura and Jack Stewart, she is cherished, mourned and missed by husband Jorden, mother Deanna, son Aaron (Shai), daughter Heather (Mitch), the delight of her life grandson Carter, Carter's father James, Jorden's children Ryland (Reed) and Martina, sisters Michaela, Deanna (Alex), nephews Griffin, Dawson, Simon and Logan, her special Auntie Jackie and Uncle Earl, sisters-in-law Valerie, Sondra and Patricia, trusted advisor Judith Heron and many loving in-laws and outlaws.  Sherry's circle is filled with her girlfriends, career relationships, lifelong friends and indeed, the entire Comox Valley.

We will celebrate Sherry's life at Crown Isle,  on Sunday, March 28, at 2:00 o'clock.  Please bring your stories and share, if you are able.

One of Sherry's great passions was her support of New Hope Academy, a primary school/orphanage in Entebbe, Uganda, where her son volunteers.  She has requested that, in lieu of flowers, if you are moved to do so, a donation can be made, at Hot Chocolates 368 5th St., Courtenay, B.C. V9N 1K1. (Please make cheques payable to New Hope Academy)

So many people have travelled this two year journey with us and need to be thanked.  This will come in a future offering.

Your condolences will be approved within one business day. You will need a valid Facebook account. Please email us if you have any questions.
