Widner, Stephen John
Steve passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 1st, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He is predeceased by his grandfather Otto Acorn and his grandmother Doris Acorn. Steve is survived by his long time girlfriend Monika Blichar; father Chris Widner Sr., mother Reta Acorn; step-parents Robert Pavey and Cindy Widner; grandparents Jack Widner, Al and Pat Gingell and Kathleen and Don Stanley; brothers: Chris Widner Jr. (Kim), Mike Widner (Sabrina) of Sooke, Blayne Widner of Courtenay and Shawn Widner (Tammi) of Calgary; sisters: Tammy McPhalen (Scott) of Winnipeg and Kylee Widner; nieces and nephews: Robert, Mia, Ella, Michael, Hilary and Hope; and aunts and uncles: Gerry and Carol Acorn, Clary Acorn and Heather Widner. Steve was a member of the Hospital Employees Union in Victoria. He enjoyed playing hockey, baseball, soccer and tubing the Puntledge River. A Funeral Service in Celebration of Steve’s Life will take place on Wednesday, February 7th, 2007 at 2pm from the COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM, 1101 RYAN ROAD, COURTENAY.
