HAWRYLUK, WALTER

January 30, 1921 ~ October 27, 2007

Wally passed away peacefully at the Priory in Victoria BC. He was predeceased by his beloved wife June in 2002 and is survived by daughter Trudy (Frank) of Victoria and son Paul (Nola) of Sooke, as well as three grandchildren Kenny, Greg & Kerri and one great grandson Justice. Wally was born in Winnipeg and grew up there. He proudly served his country overseas in the RCAF during WW II, before moving to Englewood on Northern Vancouver Island where he and June spent 38 happy years with Canfor in the logging camps. He became well known as Uncle Wally by many dear friends and their children. Wally and June later retired to Victoria, where he became involved with woodworking at Juan de Fuca Seniors Centre, making furniture and toys for dear friends and family. We would like to say many greatful thanks to the staff at the Priory for their thoughtfulness and excellent care given to our Dad during his stay there. He will be dearly missed by many friends and loved ones who will miss that wonderful smile of his.
