William John

June 6, 1926 - August 8, 2008

Bill passed away on a calm August 8th evening and will be remembered for his kind spirit and wonderful sense of humour. Predeceased by his brother Bob, sister June, and his son Robby, he will be forever loved by his wife and best friend Dorothy, brother Winston, children Randy (Sayomie), Carol, Tracy (Kathy), his grandchildren Carol Anne (Bill), Kenneth (Holly), Ryan, Christine, Lisa, Angela (Mike), Joel, Jamie, Sara, Daniel, his great-grandchildren Josiah, Elena, Ashlen, Olivia, Michael, Christopher, and Ian.

A special thanks to Win Hall for her friendship and to the many friends, family and staff at the Cumberland Lodge for their kindness.

Bill excelled at many sports such as badminton and golf but his relentless pursuit of perfection was later reserved for his choir "The Clef Hanger's" where he directed and arranged all their musical scores. The highlight of their years together was performing the National Anthems for the Vancouver Grizzlies first ever game at GM Place against the Milwaukee Bucks. He played guitar, banjo, a little piano and a mean harmonica. Bill will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

A Celebration of Life will take place on September 13th at 1:30 at the Florence Filberg Centre.
