Island Health admitting under-funding with pay parking plea

Dear editor,

Dear editor,

Island Health wants pay parking.

Dean Anderson has threatened us with the horrors of what the loss of pay parking will bring.

Who will pay for line painting?

Seems that delivery of babies and care for seniors with heart issues will suffer – is that what Anderson is suggesting?

This is a blatant admission that public health isn’t adequately funded if the provincial government has to nickel and dime us with things like pay parking. It is a further exposure of the fact that the current provincial surplus has been created by the use of regressive taxes like fees.

Dean Anderson is the messenger from Victoria delivering the message our BC Liberal MLA and BC Liberal candidate should have carried.

North Island College? You started dancing to Victoria’s tune far too soon.

Sad.
