Comox Valley United’s Division 3 men’s team is preparing for its second season in the Vancouver Island Soccer League.
Coach Jerret Dickinson, facing an Aug. 15 deadline for submitting a team into the league, has seven solid players at the moment.
The season’s fee is $200, which includes 18 games and mid-week practices. Games are played on Sundays.
Pre-season practices will be held twice a week this month.

•For the first time, the North Island has a women’s soccer team in the premier division. Tryouts are taking place Tuesdays (Aug. 8, 15 and 22) from 7-8 p.m. at Robron Turf in Campbell River.
