Comox Valley dignitaries, contributing artists and community members at large gathered on Friday, June 2 for the official unveiling of the Comox Valley Child Development Association’s mosaic mural.

The mural, which faces Cliffe Avenue, is a compilation of 2,000 tiles, submitted by artists from within the Comox Valley, throughout Canada, and beyond. The mosaic itself was created by Lewis Lavoie, who was on hand for the unveiling.

According to a CVCDA release, “Each artist’s painting is their own interpretation and insight into the project’s theme of connection. The overall mural is a representation of how these hundreds of voices are connected, and how when we come together, we can create harmony in one shared experience.”
